Bob Huggins’ resignation already seems to be affecting West Virginia’s roster for next season.

According to multiple reports, Tre Mitchell, Kerr Kriisa and Joe Toussaint have entered the transfer portal in the wake of Huggins stepping down after his second DUI arrest.

On June 16, Huggins was arrested for the alleged crime and resigned from his position one day later, a job he had held since 2007.

Now, West Virginia will be without at least three players who intended to play for the team this upcoming season.

Kriisa, who had planned to transfer from Arizona to West Virginia, said he had been ready to play for Huggins before the news broke of his arrest.

The guard, who is entering his junior season, averaged 9.9 points and 5.1 assists per game with the Wildcats as they reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

“It’s been a crazy and busy week,” Kriisa said to ESPN. “I’m deeply sorry about the situation, as I was really looking forward to playing for Coach Huggins. Huggs will always be my guy. I’ve only known him for a few months now, but he is the most genuine man I have ever met. He is the man.”

Kriisa did add that he would still consider playing for the Mountaineers once he knows who the knew coach of the team is.

Mitchell, who averaged 11.7 points per game on 47 percent shooting last year, has already gotten interest from Kentucky, CBS Sports reported.

Toussaint has already reportedly heard from 14 schools, including St. John’s and Seton Hall.

The Bronx native tallied 9.4 points per game in one season with West Virginia after three with Iowa.
