When a small plane made an emergency landing at a US airport on Friday after losing its right wheel, only one of its two pilots were on board. Police are trying to piece together why Charles Hew Crooks, 23, was not in the cockpit when the plane hit the runway at Raleigh Durham International Airport in North Carolina. His body was found in the backyard of a home about 50km south of the airport in the town of Fuquay-Varina.
