New emails have emerged indicating that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson authorised the evacuation of animals from Afghanistan during the height of last year’s crisis.
Number 10 Downing Street denied any involvement in the rescue efforts after Mr Johnson was accused of prioritising pets over people.
Foreign Office emails shows Mr Johnson approved the order for 173 cats and dogs to be evacuated from Afghanistan at the height of the Kabul airlift.
